Operations and Maintenance
AES is able to create, operate, and maintain Government and commercial enterprises and is experienced in the following environments: information technology (up to and including Super Computers), high performance LAN/WAN networks, help desk, audio/visual, security, and facilities. Our capabilities were battle tested and proven prior to, during, and post Hurricane Katrina. Although more than 25% of the Gulf Coast region, including AES employees homes, was substantially damaged by that storm, the facilities under AES’ responsibility maintained 100% operational capability prior to, during, and post Katrina.

Data Center/Facility Management
AES presents a vertically integrated capability to our clients. As an organization, AES can start with an empty field and create a complete data center facility—providing everything required to manage, operate, and maintain the facility. After construction of the data center, AES has the expertise to provide the full range of specialties required to provision the Information Technology infrastructure from system/network design and installation to enterprise integration management, including application development and operation and maintenance of the completed environment. The skills and capabilities required to perform these services are modular and scalable to match client mission requirements. In addition, AES has relevant and recent experience in commercial and Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) environments.

Application Development
AES has current and significant experience developing applications for Federal government agencies and has a fully staffed Application Development office in place. The AES Development team has a full suite of tools and processes at hand to provide immediate support to new Application Development projects. Although well versed in traditional Application Development, the team's current focus is on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and evolutionary prototyping using a standard application toolset. By reusing existing tools where possible, the team is able to produce results quickly and has consistently greatly exceeded client expectations in both product quality and time to delivery.

In addition, the AES team has been one of the first organizations to provide an operational product using Oracle Business Intelligence - Enterprise Edition (OBIEE). Recognizing the importance of this product, Oracle showcased our application at the Maritime Administration (MARAD).
